As OPLAN KAAGAPAY continues to bring hope across the Metro Area, all-female JCI chapters have once again proven the strength, compassion, and resilience of women leaders and their empowered members in times of crisis. Rising above the challenges brought by Typhoons Crising, Dante, Emong, and the relentless Habagat rains, these chapters moved as one—led by inspiring presidents and fueled by dedicated teams, turning empathy into impactful action for hundreds of displaced families.
In Metro South, Pres. Gabby Basiano and the women of JCI Las Piñas Water Lily stepped up for the evacuees at Pulang Lupa Elementary School and Zapote Elementary School. Their initiative served hot coffee, cup noodles, and crackers to children, seniors, and adults—bringing warmth and comfort to over 800 families affected by flooding. Each member’s contribution—from logistics to late-night preparations—reflected their commitment to making service personal and heartfelt.
In Metro East, Pres. Danielle Tamondong and the women of JCI Quezon City Sampaguita rolled up their sleeves and went straight to the public market. Together, they repacked fresh vegetables and distributed them to families in Brgy. Tandang Sora, Quezon City. With the support of Councilor Cocoy Medina, Brgy. Capt. Marlou Ulanday, Kgd. Pandoy Alcantara (Barangay Nutrition Council Chair), and Ms. Anne Medina (Barangay Nutrition Action Office), the team reinforced how collaboration and community nutrition go hand-in-hand—even during disasters.
In Metro North, Pres. Geraldine Andaya and her fellow members of JCI Marilao Marilag made their presence felt by reaching families in Poblacion 1 & 2 and Ibayo, Marilao, Bulacan. Despite challenging conditions, they conducted feeding programs and relief distributions, showing that no flooded street or stormy weather could dampen their spirit of service.
These are not just stories of leadership—they are proof of unity, sisterhood, and shared purpose. Every member who packed, carried, served, and shared contributed to a greater mission: to serve humanity in its time of need.
In JCI Philippines Metro Area, when women lead, communities are not only supported—they are empowered.
Rain or shine, day or night—JCI Metro Area continues to respond.
