JCI Manila proudly brought home the Best Local Individual Development Program Award at the 2025 JCI Asia-Pacific Conference (ASPAC) held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia — a remarkable recognition for their flagship leadership initiative, Leadership Horizon: Elevating Purpose-Driven Youths for a Better Nation on June 12-15, 2025.
At the heart of the winning program is the University of Leaders Orientation (ULO), JCI Manila’s premier recruitment and development platform. The ULO follows a rigorous and thoughtfully designed screening process to ensure that aspiring members align with the organization’s core values and commitment to excellence. Applicants undergo pre-screening interviews focused on purpose, intention, and leadership potential — ensuring the continuous growth of purpose-driven, values-grounded young leaders.
Notably, Leadership Horizon was also JCI Manila’s official entry and nominated to the 2025 JCI ASPAC Awards to the Best Local Project — a testament to its excellence and impact within the chapter and beyond. The project’s success at both the local and international levels showcases the power of strategic leadership development in shaping future changemakers.
This victory is a testament to the efforts of the 2024 Elevate Board of Directors, led by Past President and now Metro South Regional Vice President Calel Gosingtian, who championed the vision of producing leaders equipped to serve and lead with heart and purpose.
More importantly, this milestone reflects the JCI Metro Area’s Drive for Change — empowering local organizations to innovate, uplift their communities, and invest in youth leadership.
